Munster coach Declan Kidney had all of his players bar Tomas O’Leary taking part in Wednesday’s training at the University of Limerick. But the scrum half is expected to be fit for this weekend’s semi-final encounter with Saracens.
O’Leary sat out training due to ‘a slight twinge’ in his hamstring but in a considerable boost, Paul O’Connell, Ronan O’Gara, Peter Stringer and Marcus Horan all took a full part in Wednesday’s session.
A hip problem forced O’Connell out of the Munster side for last weekend’s Magners League win over the Ospreys, but the province’s captain is ready to return.
Kidney said: “I’d be hopeful Tomas will be available for selection. They’re all finely tuned athletes but I would imagine he’ll be okay. Paul (O’Connell) and Ronan (O’Gara) took a full part in training and they’re all systems go.”
