Tiki Bar Tigers Munster Tag Open Champions 2008

On Saturday last (June 28th), Clonmel RFC hosted the 2008 Munster Tag Open Championships which was keenly contested in great spirits by participants from all around the province.

What a day!

There were two grades of leagues staged: A and B grade. Following the thriving activity of the group stages and while the changeable weather of late faired well upon the place, the four finalists challenging for the two grades towards the climax of the day were The Wexicans and Tagtical Genius for the B Grade Cup while the A Grade Cup provided those watching with the mammoth encounter of Tiki Bar Tigers up against the Munster Munchins
These games gave us the victorious Wexicans as B Grade Champs and the Tiki Bar Tigers as Munster Open Champs 2008!

Well done to all who took part. It was an great day with an atmosphere that represented Budweiser Tag in all its glory. And of course an especially big hand to the referees who officiated for the day with Clonmel RFC being the model hosts that any Tag Festival could ever hope for. A big thank you to all.
