Suttonians RFC – 2008’s Final Budweiser Tag Festival

The re-scheduled Leinster Provincial Tag Festival takes place at Suttonians RFC on Saturday 16th August. Teams from all over Leinster will converge on the north Dublin Bay club for what
will be a perfect conclusion of what has been a fantastic 2008 Budweiser Tag season.

As with all Budweiser Tag Festivals, registrations for this event are OPEN. This means that no qualification is necessary. Nor does your team need to be already registered in any of the other Budweiser Tag leagues.

Tag approved shorts (by any manufacturer) will be necessary however as Tag belts are not permitted.


Make sure you and your Tag Rugby team do not miss out on what promises to be a fantastic day of Tag rounded off by a great party as only Suttonians RFC in association with Budweiser and the IRFU in support, can provide.

Registration costs €195.00 per team. Teams already registered from original planned date for this event will be contact for confirmation of their places.


Please be reminded that places in the leagues are subject to availability.


Some more info on the day follows:-


Fixtures


– Fixtures (and a pitch map) available on the day. A copy of these fixtures will also


be sent to all captains and asst-captains by email on Friday morning (15th August).


Format


– Games are 15 minutes long with no halftime.


– Changeover time between games is 5 minutes.


– In the event of a tied score at the end of Group/League stage game, both teams


awarded ONE league point


– In the event of a tied score at the end of a Play-off/Finals game, first team to


score a try in extra-time will be awarded the win.


– This is a 7-a-side tournament and each team must have at least THREE female players


on-field at ALL times.


– Try scored by a male player is worth ONE point. A try scored by a female player is


worth THREE points. This does not change if more than three female players on-field.


Presentation & Post-Tournament Party


– The Trophy Presentations will take place after the last games take place. This will be around 6.30-7.00pm


– Bar, music and party will follow Presentations


Facilities


– Full male and female changing facilities, with seperate shower blocks available throughout the day.


– Food available All Day


– All drinks such as water, energy drinks and beverages will be available from the Clubhouse.


Parking


– There will be parking facilities available at the venue all day


Directions


DART: Take any Northbound Dart destination Howth. The 2nd last stop is Sutton


Station. SRFC clubhouse is directly opposite the train station.


– DUBLIN BUS: Buses number 31 or 31B bound for Howth. Disembark at Sutton Cross outside


Superquinn. Walk back towards the DART / Train station on Station Road. SRFC


clubhouse is directly opposite the train station.



From the North: (M1 and N1) Coming down the N1/M1 join the M50. Leave the motorway at


the signs for Malahide. Continue straight down the N32, crossing the Malahide Road


with the Tesco supermarket on your right, pass through four roundabouts to Baldoyle.


Keep straight on through Baldoyle’s residential area until you pass through another


traffic light and reach the Coast. Turn right for Sutton. Within 1km you will be at


Sutton train station with SRFC on the right.



– From the City Centre: From O’Connell Bridge, join Eden Quay (one way). Turn left at


Liberty Hall, joining to Amiens Street. Follow the road straight through Fairview


(R105) all the way by the Coast to Sutton Cross. At Sutton Cross, the Marine Hotel is


on your right, – turn left down station road and SRFC is on your left hand side


opposite the train station. Allow 20-25 minutes for this journey.



– From all other main roads N4, N60, N6, N7, N72, N8: Join the M50 motorway. Leave the


motorway at the signs for Malahide. Continue straight down the N32, crossing the


Malahide Road with the Tesco supermarket on your right, pass through four roundabouts


to Baldoyle. Keep straight on through Baldoyle’s residential area until you pass


through another traffic light and reach the Coast. Turn right for Sutton. Within 1km


you will be at Sutton train station with SRFC on the right
