AIB Cup Second Round Line-Up

The first round is done and dusted and in November the Division One sides will step in to make their mark. Tie of the second round is undoubtedly the rematch between last season’s finalists Blackrock College and Shannon.

The AIB League gets underway this weekend but last Saturday saw the Division Two and Three sides have a cut in the opening round of the AIB Cup.

With the results all in, the ties for the second round are now confirmed. The draw took place recently at the same time as the first round draw.

Match of the round looks to be the rematch between Blackrock College and Shannon – a repeat of the final from last season.

There were some high profile casualties in the opening round with Nenagh Ormond getting the better of Lansdowne, who will undoubtedly be concentrating all the more on the AIB League this season.

The Tipp side’s reward is a home game against Leixlip club Barnhall who had a three-point win over Connemara in the first round.
