The Irish Rugby Football Union have announced the coaching team and manager for the Ireland Schools team for this season.

Paul Barr, who was assistant coach to the team last year, has been named as the head coach to the Under-18 Schools side.

Barr, who is part of the PBC Cork teaching staff, will be assisted by former Ulster player and Ireland international wing Kenny Hooks, who is coach to Royal School Armagh.

Lorcan Balfe will continue in his role as manager to the team.

This announcement follows the recent appointments to the various Ireland representative sides announced already.
