Leinster Announce Team For Dragons Clash

The Leinster team to face the Newport Gwent Dragons in Saturday’s Magners League clash at the RDS (kick-off 5.30pm) has been named.

Brian O’Driscoll has been named in the Leinster team and partners Fergus McFadden at centre, with Shane Horgan, Girvan Dempsey and Simon Keogh named in the back-three.

Stand-in captain Chris Whitaker will partner Jonathan Sexton at half-back.

In the pack, Cian Healy starts in the front row alongside Bernard Jackman and Stan Wright, with Bank of Ireland Player of the Month Devin Toner partnering Malcolm O’Kelly at second row.

Rocky Elsom starts alongside Sean O’Brien and Stephen Keogh in the back row.

David Holwell has been listed on the replacements bench after re-joining the province as cover this week.

The final place on the bench will be confirmed closer to kick-off.

Over 16,000 tickets have now been sold for Saturday’s game.

Tickets are still available in Donnybrook from Spar and the Leinster Rugby Store and will be available to purchase from Ticketmaster vans on Anglesea Road and Simmonscourt Road from 3pm tomorrow.
