Old Wesley’s South African player-coach Dan van Zyl reflects on a tremendous conclusion to the season for his side, after their 30-12 AIB League Division Three final win over Corinthians at Dooradoyle on Saturday.

Speaking after his side’s 30-12 AIB League Division Three final defeat, Corinthians captain Pat Cunningham told IrishRugby.ie: “The better team on the day won. Wesley were very impressive today. They caught us on the hop early. Credit to us though, we fought back and gave a good effort.”

IrishRugby.ie caught up with two-try centre Barry McLaughlin after Saturday’s AIB League Division Three final win for Old Wesley over Corinthians at Dooradoyle. He said the win was a ‘huge stepping stone’ for a club that have ‘big ambitions.’
