The British & Irish Lions tour kicks of for real against the Royal XV in Rustenburg tomorrow at 3pm local time (2pm Irish time). To mark the tour and to help you keep up-to-date wih all the news from the camp, IrishRugby.ie has launched our very own Lions tournament page.

Paul O’Connell will captain the Lions for the first time tomorrow and with Ronan O’Gara, Keith Earls and Tommy Bowe in the starting team and Stephen Ferris on the bench, interest in Ireland will be running high.

IrishRugby.ie has today launched our very own British & Irish Lions tournament page to keep you up-to-date with all the news, images and match reports from inside the Lions camp.

Following on from the popularity of our GUINNESS Series and RBS 6 Nations dedicated tournament sites, the IrishRugby.ie Lions site will feature all the news, profiles of the current Irish Lions, dedicated picture galleries from the tour and an interactive tour map giving details of each game, information about the stadium and much more besides.

In launching the IrishRugby.ie Lions tournament site, IRFU Commercial & Marketing Director Padraig Power said: “IrishRugby.ie has become the premier rugby website in recent years and this is reflected in the figures we see for site visits and page impressions.

“Rugby fans know they will get the best content on our site be it news, match reports, image galleries or Irish Rugby TV.

“The profile of the game has never been better and our website is a key part of showcasing the success and promoting the game at grassroots.

“Fans come to the site for the content and they come back again and again because they know they will get the best information on rugby on IrishRugby.ie.

“This has been a wonderful season for Irish rugby with the Magners League, the Heineken Cup and the Grand Slam and IrishRugby.ie has been on hand every step of the way.

“Now we have the Lions tour and once again the website will be the first port of call for rugby fans on the web.”
