The Dangan View So Far

Bud Light Tag at UCG has been very busy this summer with leagues being keenly contested and the post-match atmosphere equal to match.

Mixed Social League 1 is a tight run affair with only 1 point separating Odd Shaped Balls (10 points) and G Whizz (9 points) showing their class at the top of the table. Bootleggers 3 and Scrum Dog Millionaires are close on their heals however with 8 and 7 points respectively and there is still a chance of an upset from below with Prestige Worldwide and Top Guns level on 5 points. Blue Steel have to be the most unfortunate team in the history of Tag Rugby however, 1 win from 6 does not give a fair reflection of the skill and style of the Zoolander fans and a strong finish is expected.

Mixed Social League 2 is another very close league but the charge of Here for Beer Again looks set to be challenged by a very athletic Pamplemoose next week when the table toppers take on the contenders. Cuba Crusaders are hot on their heals however and the legendry Galway nightspot team have nothing to lose when they take on the Vikings, who have been unlucky with some of their results so far. Late additions to the League Connacht Crusaders took a few weeks to find their feet and despite playing some of the most attractive Tag Rugby yet seen have not been able to convert this to wins on the pitch. Now Ye’re Taggin’ and the Untouchables have had mixed fortunes so far and the last week could be make or break for both teams
