Local children had the chance to meet and be inspired by their rugby heroes during a week of non-stop fun recently when they took part in an Ulster Rugby Summer Camp at Belfast Harlequins Rugby Club.
Dozens of boys and girls aged 6 – 13 years attended the local five day camp and met Ulster Rugby stars Stephen Ferris, David Pollock and Ian Humphreys while learning new skills under the supervision of qualified coaches.
Participants also received a Summer Camp kit bag with T-shirt, Rugby ball and voucher to an Ulster Magners League match.
Ulster Rugby Summer Camps, sponsored by independent retail group Centra, are taking place at seventeen different province-wide locations this summer and will cater for almost 1,500 children.
This year saw the addition of two Senior Camps based at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, for 14-17 year old participants. These camps are aimed at boys and girls with previous rugby experience, and focus on the technical, tactical, physical, mental and lifestyle aspects of Rugby Union.
Ulster Rugby has announced that places are still available at Summer Camps taking place at many venues this summer.
