Rifle Park, the home of AIB League Division 3 club Banbridge, was the latest stop on the Grand Slam Trophy Tour with Ulster and Ireland hooker Rory Best bringing the RBS 6 Nations trophy and the Triple Crown home to his own local club on Monday.
The RBS 6 Nations trophy and Triple Crown are currently doing a tour of Ulster Rugby Clubs and venues around the provinces.
The Grand Slam Trophy Tour is being co-ordinated through the four provincial branches and will take in Rugby Clubs, schools and various other venues, with the trophies meeting hundreds of Irish rugby supporters along the way.
Ulster is currently playing host to the much-coveted silverware and to date there have been visits to the Ulster Rugby Summer Camps at Armagh RFC and Bangor RFC, the USRFR Annual Conference at La Mon Hotel, the Ophir Sevens tournament, pre-season training at Ballyclare RFC, Larne RFC and Larne GS, Banbridge RFC, Portadown RFC, Malone RFC, Newtownabbey and Larne Borough Councils and Belfast City Council.
Later this week the trophies will make their way to Donegal, visiting Ballyshannon RFC and Donegal Town RFC, and from there, they will go to Belfast Harlequins RFC, Clogher Valley RFC, Monaghan RFC and Cavan RFC.
The Grand Slam Trophy Tour has already taken in the Connacht and Munster branches and will be heading on to Leinster following the tour of Ulster.
