The Exiles are delighted to announce a new three-year deal with kit suppliers Fury. Fury will produce a full kit range for the Exiles at all levels and also for the Exiles DHL Sevens squad as well as providing an online range for supporters.
Branch secretary Ces Shaw had been in discussions wtih a range of sportswear providers since April. Fury, run by Dubliner Mark Grimes, and based in Kent, met the Exiles supplier profile.
They were of a size that the Exiles were important to them, they were responsive, produce quality goods and had an Irish connection.
Once the Exiles Committee approved the agreement Fury went into top gear and within four weeks had provided the playing and training kit for the Exiles DHL Sevens squad.
Their next challenge was to outfit the Exiles Under-20 squad and the Under-18 squad. The players in the U-20 squad were very pleased with the kit and could not wait to get playing it.
Next up is the U-18s’ trip to Ireland where they play Ulster U-18 Clubs and Leinster U-18 Clubs. Fury delivered about 18 large boxes of kit to Ces Shaw’s doorstep nearly two weeks ago, well before the required date.
Ces’ family will be glad to get their dining room back when the kit is distributed to the players!
John O’Driscoll, President of the Exiles (former British Lion) took official receipt of the sponsored kit from Fury Director Mark Grimes last Sunday in London.
The Exiles organisation will also benefit form the retail sales of the Exiles range of sportswear by Fury.
A source of funding that will assist the Exiles operation in these tough financial times.
Director Mark Grimes, when presenting the kit, said: “Fury Rugby is proud to be the official kit supplier of The Irish Exiles.
“We at Fury have worked closely with the Exiles to develop a range of both on field and off field wear, which will help the Exiles perform on the pitch, and look good off it.
