Connacht Choose Squad For Dragons Game

Connacht coach Michael Bradley has named a 26-man squad for the province’s Magners League clash with the Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade on Saturday (kick-off 4.30pm).

Michael Bradley has a number of injury concerns with Mike McComish, Jamie Hagan and Ian Keatley all nursing knocks which he hopes will clear up by the time he announces the starting line-up on Friday morning.

Flanker Ray Ofisa (illness) and prop Robbie Morris, who has received a three week ban after being cited for an incident in the game against Ulster, are ruled out.

But, encouragingly, centre Niva Ta’auso returns to the squad after being out since the opening day of the season against the Ospreys.

CONNACHT Squad (v Newport Gwent Dragons): Backs (12) – Liam Bibo, Fionn Carr, Gavin Duffy, Ian Keatley, Keith Matthews, Frank Murphy, Troy Nathan, Miah Nikora, Conor O’Loughlin, Niva Ta’ausao, Brian Tuohy, Aidan Wynne.

Forwards (14) – Andrew Browne, Sean Cronin, Adrian Flavin, Jamie Hagan, Conor Higgins, Ronan Loughney, Mike McCarthy, Mike McComish, John Muldoon, Dermot Murphy, Johnny O’Connor, Michael Swift, Bernie Upton, Brett Wilkinson.
