Morris Receives Three Week Ban
An Irish Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing adjudicated on Tuesday evening on the citing complaint against Connacht prop Robbie Morris from the Connacht v Ulster Magners League match at the Sportsground last Friday.
Robbie Morris had been cited under law 10.4 (a) for an alleged strike on Ulster back rower Thomas Anderson in the 65th minute of the game.
The hearing took place in the IRFU head office in Dublin and was heard under a disciplinary committee chaired by David Martin, who was assisted by Philip Orr and George Spotswood.
Having studied the match footage and heard all available evidence, the disciplinary committee upheld the citing and that the player was guilty of an act of foul play.
The committee imposed a three week suspension commencing from yesterday (Tuesday, September 29) and terminating on Tuesday, October 20.
Morris has the right to appeal this decision.
