Castlebar Clubman Gets Volunteer Award

Trevor Ardill of Castlebar RFC has won a Volunteer award for his services to his club and to rugby in Connacht. He was presented with the award at the recent Connacht v Ulster Magners League game at the Sportsground.

Trevor Ardill received the Connacht Rugby Volunteer Recognition award at a pre-match ceremony before the recent Connacht v Ulster Magners League clash.

Present were representatives of the Connacht Branch Committee and his own club, Castlebar RFC.

Martin Gallagher, Domestic Rugby Manager for Connacht, said: “Trevor Ardill has made a significant contribution to rugby in Castlebar.  His energy and passion for Connacht and his club are there for all to see. 

“I am delighted that the Connacht Branch are able to support his nomination.”

Also there to present the award was Connacht Rugby President Steven Cunningham, who added: “It is my pleasure to Award this Volunteer Recognition award to Trevor.

“Trevor is a consummate clubman and has been involved in every level of the game over the years. We, the Connacht Branch, are delighted to present this award to him.”
