Coolmine Host Successful Business Lunch

The fifth Coolmine RFC Business Lunch was recently held in Dunboyne Castle Hotel. In the current economic climate, the attendance was excellent and thanks must be extended to all who attended and contributed towards the day.

Following drinks and a marvellous lunch, those present were entertained, and enjoyed, hearing about the wonderful exploits of Coolmine’s two speakers, Ollie Campbell and Willie Anderson, during their international careers.

A signed Grand Slam jersey, kindly donated by Pat Fitzgerald of the IRFU, and a signed photograph of the legendary stand-off between Buck Shelford and Willie Anderson, donated by Willie, were both auctioned.

Enda Carton was the final bidder on the jersey and the photograph was purchased by Killarney Telecom under the watchful eye of Alan Hanamy MD.

Both items were very kindly donated back to Coolmine RFC and the Dublin 15 club thank Enda and Alan most sincerely.

Lunch turned into an evening event, culminating in a midnight-plus finish in the hotel. Sincere thanks from Coolmine to Dunboyne Castle and especially Liz Diaz and her colleague Tom for an excellent day.

Finally, Coolmine’s main sponsor for the day again was Killarney Telecom and they appreciate and thank most sincerely Tony Killarney and Alan Hanamy, for their continued support and generosity to the club.
