Munster’s Jones Ruled Out For ‘Immediate Future’
Munster’s Felix Jones has been ruled out of action for the immediate future having sustained a neck injury in last Saturday’s Magners League derby win over Connacht at Thomond Park Stadium.
The injury occurred in the 14th minute after an accidental collision and Munster full-back Felix Jones was stretchered off to be replaced by eventual man-of-the-match Paul Warwick.
Jones, a promising talent who starred during the Ireland ‘A’ side’s Churchill Cup success, was immediately removed to hospital where he remained overnight.
A statement issued today by Munster Rugby read: “Following on from the injury he sustained on Saturday against Connacht, Felix Jones will be out of action for the immediate future.
“The full-back damaged neck ligaments as a result of an accidental collision early in the game.
“He was immediately removed to hospital for examination and will remain there for contining observation for a number of days.”
