The Ulster v Ospreys Magners League match, which was due to take place at Ravenhill on Friday night, has now been officially cancelled.
A pitch inspection was undertaken at Ravenhill today by the IRFU Referee Department who, based on the current condition of the playing surface and the weather forecast for the next few days, have deemed the pitch at the Belfast ground unplayable for Friday’s scheduled fixture between Ulster and the Ospreys.
The match will be rescheduled for another date.
Tickets purchased for Friday’s Ulster v Ospreys tie will be valid for the rearranged fixture date.
It is the second Magners League game that has fallen victim to the wintry weather in recent days – Connacht’s home clash with Leinster last Saturday was also postponed due to an unplayable pitch at the Sportsground.
