Old Belvedere have moved back to the summit of AIB League Division 1B just a week after losing top spot to Young Munster.

Leinster old and new in the form of Richie Leyden (2) and Eoin O’Malley scored tries as Old Belvedere ran out comfortable 26-10 winners over Ballymena at Eaton Park.
Also getting on the scoresheet in the bonus point victory was the league’s leading try scorer, winger David Mongan, who has now amassed an enviable 12 tries in nine games.
The power and pace of the visitors left Ballymena struggling in the opening half as the Dubliners built a 14-0 lead.
Tries from out-half David O’Hara and promising winger Roger McBurney did get the Braidmen back in touch but the damage had been done, under the influence of ‘Belvo out-half and player-coach Andy Dunne.
