Youthful Look To Connacht Squad

Connacht coach Michael Bradley has announced his squad for Sunday’s crunch Magners League clash with the Scarlets at Parc y Scarlets (kick-off 2.05pm).

The selected Connacht squad shows eight changes from the one that was on duty for Wednesday’s strength-sapping Magners League victory over Leinster.

Winger Liam Bibo and flanker Ray Ofisa have recovered from a hamstring injury and vertigo respectively to take their places in the 22-man panel.

Young forwards David Nolan, Dermot Murphy and Conor Higgins are set to get a chance to impress against the Scarlets, while Ireland Under-20 duo Tiernan O’Halloran and Eoin Griffin and current Ireland Under-19 international Eoin McKeon have also been included.

Game-time on Sunday for Nolan, O’Halloran and promising back rower McKeon would see them make their Magners League debuts.

Connacht will be looking to continue their recent good form and complete a season’s double over the Welsh side, having beaten them 16-10 when they visited the Sportsground back in October.

CONNACHT Squad (v Scarlets) – Backs (10): Liam Bibo, Kieran Campbell, Eoin Griffin, Ian Keatley, Troy Nathan, Miah Nikora, Tiernan O’Halloran, Conor O’Loughlin, Brian Tuohy, Aidan Wynne.

Forwards (12): Andrew Browne, Adrian Flavin, Conor Higgins, Ronan Loughney, Mike McComish, Eoin McKeon, Robbie Morris, Dermot Murphy, David Nolan, Johnny O’Connor, Ray Ofisa, Bernie Upton.
