Munster are one of three teams chasing qualification for the Magners League play-offs and following discussions between Celtic Rugby and their broadcast partners, BBC Wales, S4C and Setanta Sports, the final round of fixtures in the league stage of the 2009/10 campaign have been confirmed.
The inclusion of a clause in this season’s Tournament Rules requiring any games that have an impact on qualification for the Play-offs to kick off on the same day and at the same time means that two of the games, Cardiff Blues v Munster and Leinster v Edinburgh, will be played simultaneously.
This double header will kick off at 6.15pm on Sunday, May 9 at the RDS and the Cardiff City Stadium. Meanwhile, the interprovincial derby match between Ulster and Connacht will take place on Friday, May 7.
The Magners League semi-finals will take place over the weekend of May 14-16, with the Magners League grand final scheduled for Saturday May 29 (kick-off 6.30pm).
Three teams have already qualified for the inaugural Magners League play-offs – Leinster, the Ospreys and Glasgow Warriors.
Three further teams, Munster, the Cardiff Blues and Edinburgh, are vying for the fourth and final qualifying spot.
