Prop Marcus Horan has become the latest player to join Munster’s injury list, after breaking a bone in his wrist at training on Monday. The accident occurred in the gym.
Marcus Horan will see a specialist tomorrow (Thursday) in Dublin. It is expected that he will be out of action for four to six weeks.
He was named in Ireland’s extended squad for the GUINNESS Series, but it remains to be seen what his involvement in next month’s run of matches will be.
Meanwhile, Horan’s Munster and Ireland front row colleague, Jerry Flannery, will travel to Liverpool on Friday for further specialist examination of his calf injury.
