New IRFU Tag Venues Added
With the number of participants increasing as it has done each year, the number of venues is also expanding. Tag players in Ireland’s only official IRFU Tag Rugby programme now have two more renowned rugby clubs to choose from in Connacht and Leinster.
As grades already fill up in IRFU Tag Rugby venues around Ireland, more clubs have been added as venues to accomodate the growth of Ireland’s fastest growing sport.
In Galway and in Dublin, we are proud to announce Galwegians RFC and Clontarf RFC as IRFU Tag venues.
Galwegians RFC will run for ten weeks on Sundays from May 22 until Sunday, July 24. As with all this year’s venues, the team registration fee of only 399 euro ensures that playing IRFU Tag is not only of the highest quality but of an affordable cost to the player.
In this case, a player is only paying less than 4 euro per week to play a full season at ‘Wegians. Games will take place at 5.30pm and 6.20pm each Sunday.
In Dublin, Clontarf RFC are all set for a busy summer ahead as they too join the IRFU’s Tag rugby list of venues. A team registering for this club’s leagues will be paying only 475 euro for the nine weeks.
The season will take place on Wednesdays for its first two weeks – June 29 and July 6 – and then for the remaining seven will switch to Thursdays from July 14 until Finals night on Friday, August 19.
There will be a week’s break from the competitive leagues making room for a Special Festival Day of fun Tag rugby and a cracking night after the games finish.
Registrations for either of these or all other IRFU Tag venues is performed online on www.irfutag.ie.
