Keeshan Reaches Scoring Milestone

Dolphin’s Barry Keeshan became the 10th player in the history of the Ulster Bank League to break the 1000-point mark when he landed his opening penalty against Young Munster last Sunday.

Barry Keeshan became the second Dolphin player to achieve the landmark – John O’Mahony previously racked over 1,000 points in Dolphin colours.

The current Dolphin out-half and captain is the 10th player to reach this milestone in the history of the league.

Keeshan, who has averaged an impressive 10 points per game with Dolphin since 2005, has scored 823 league points with the Cork club. He knocked over a further 164 with UCC and 18 points with Cork Con.

The Dolphin points machine is currently the top scorer in Division 1A of the Ulster Bank League this season with 138 points.

Earlier this month, he set another personal record by becoming the first player to be capped eight times for the Ireland Ulster Bank Club international side when they beat Scotland Clubs in the Dalriada Cup encounter.
