Leinster Begin Preparations For League Semi-Final

The Leinster squad trained at the RDS today ahead of Friday night’s Magners League semi-final against provincial rivals Ulster.

Joe Schmidt and his management team report no fresh injury concerns following last Friday night’s bonus point victory over Glasgow Warriors.

Leo Cullen, Sean O’Brien, Brian O’Driscoll, Eoin Reddan and Heinke van der Merwe are all in contention for selection after being rested for the the 38-3 win at the RDS which helped book home advantage for Leinster in the play-offs.

Should O’Driscoll feature against Ulster he will do so for the 150th time in Leinster colours. Meanwhile, Shane Horgan’s second half try against Glasgow was his ninth in 24 Magners League and Heineken Cup appearances to date this season.

The team and replacements for the interprovincial derby will be announced on Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Leinster Season Ticket Holders had until 5pm on Monday to get first preference opportunity to retain their seats for Friday’s game and any remaining tickets will go on sale here from 10am on Tuesday morning.
