The Exiles branch of the IRFU were delighted to have three young players lining out at Musgrave Park on Sunday. They played in the challenge game between the Ireland Under-20s and a Munster Development team as part of the Ireland squad’s build-up to the IRB Junior World Championship.
Corey Hircock, spotted at Bedford by the Exiles and now a member of the Munster Academy, lined out for the Ireland Under-20 side at centre in the first half.
In the second half, Nat McDonald of Coventry RFC also played in midfield, having already appeared for the Under-20s against France this season.
The third Exile was Kieran Marmion of the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC) who was the scrum half in the opening 40 minutes. Marmion also played for the Ireland Under-19/Under-20 Development side recently.
