Ulster Line Up Friendlies Against Bayonne And ‘Quins
Ulster have confirmed that they will play two pre-season friendlies against French side Bayonne and Conor O’Shea’s Harlequins in August.
Ulster will take on Top 14 outfit Bayonne on Wednesday, August 10 as part of a five day pre-season training camp in the south of France. The match will be played at Bayonne’s Parc des Sports Jean Dauger with an 8pm kick-off.
Bayonne, who finished seventh in this past season’s French Championship, have recently announced a number of signings for the 2011/12 campaign including New Zealand winger Joe Rokocoko.
Ulster’s home pre-season friendly will be played against Harlequins at Ravenhill on Friday, August 26 (kick-off 7.30pm).
The teams met at the Stoop last August and Ulster will be keen to avenge their 24-0 defeat in that game. Harlequins recently beat Stade Francais in the final of the Amlin Challenge Cup and finished seventh in the Aviva Premiership.
Tickets for the Ulster v Harlequins match will go on sale from Monday, July 4, although 2011/12 Ulster Season Ticket holders are reminded that this game is included in the package.
