Clontarf Lend Support To ‘Lean On Me’ Campaign

Members of Clontarf’s senior squad – Adrian and Matt D’Arcy, Ronan Considine and Cathal O’Flynn – put history behind them to rally behind former Shannon, Munster and Ireland flanker Alan Quinlan and promote the ‘Lean On Me’ campaign, which is supported by Lundbeck and Aware.

Shannon have broken Clontarf hearts on a number of occasions, most notably in the All-Ireland League finals of 2006 and 2009, but ‘Tarf jumped at the chance to support the nationwide ‘Lean On Me’ campaign.

It aims to promote the importance of positive thinking and supporting mental health. Alan Quinlan and performance coach Caroline Currid will be involved in a series of four events held around the country which promote positive thinking and mental health.

The events, organised by the ‘Lean On Me’ campaign will see Alan and former Dublin captain Paul Griffin speak about their experiences in overcoming adversity, while Caroline, who has worked with the Dublin football and Tipperary hurling All-Ireland winning teams, will give practical advice and tools to help people stay mentally positive.

The details of the events are as follows:

Ferrycarrig Hotel, Wexford (Monday, November 21)

Hilton Dublin Airport, Northern Cross, Dublin 17 (Tuesday, November 22)

Radisson Blue St Helen’s, Blackrock, Co. Dublin (Wednesday, November 23)

Clonmel Park Conference, Leisure & Spa Hotel, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary (Thursday, November 24)

Doors open at 6.30pm. Admission is free, but registration is required. Log on to www.leanonme.net or ring (01) 468 9800 for further information.
