Corinthians Get Set For ‘Saturday Night Lights’ Match

Galway Corinthians are preparing to hold their Ulster Bank League Division 2A encounter with Bective Rangers at Corinthian Park this Saturday, on the same day that Connacht meet Gloucester in the Heineken Cup.

Corinthians will have their fundraising draw and party night in the club immediately after the club’s senior side plays Bective Rangers in a ‘Saturday Night Lights’ league tie.

The day starts off the pitch with the pre-match dinner hosted by guest speaker and Corinthians and Ireland Clubs XV selector Ciaran Smyth.

Any time ‘Smythie’ speaks you can be sure it will be entertaining and amusing and this Saturday will be no different.

There will be plenty of pre-match action with an age grade blitz, with Bective bringing their own minis down to Galway and plenty of banter post-game as well.

The day will also serve as a get-together for some Corinthians players and members, both old and new, who will be coming together for a great night out in the club.

Speaking about the day, club chairman Des Bluett said: “Every game against Bective is special but we are making it this Saturday even more so by making it a full family day out adding the minis to the mix and having the club fundraising draw on after should ensure a great family day at our club.

“It’s vital in these times that clubs stick together so we especially thank our great friends in Bective Rangers for coming over to us here in Galway to facilitate an evening kick-off and we promise them a great night in Corinthians.”

Bluett added: “If you are a rugby fan in Galway for the Heineken Cup game earlier that day, come down to Corinthian Park on Saturday evening for a great family day and a great day of rugby.”

Tickets for the draw can be purchased on the Corinthians website – just click here and follow the directions.
