Registrations for 2012 Going Live!
New sponsors, new Spring League venues, Summer League venues, Beach Tag venues and an even better All-Ireland Championship all point to a packed, fun summer of Tag rugby with the IRFU.
In partnership with brand new sponsors Volkswagen, Ireland’s only official IRFU Tag rugby programme now known as Volkswagen Tag, will launch registrations for teams online Monday January 9th at 10am.
With Spring Leagues running for six weeks beginning in April and Summer Leagues from May to August, teams all over Ireland look set to be part of the biggest and best season yet.
The growth of Tag has been hugely successful in spreading the popularity of the game of rugby and its non-contact nature and social aspect have made it accessible to both men and women in the specially graded levels hosted.
All levels of skill and fitness are catered for at the IRFU’s venues which, naturally, are rugby clubs which provide the best facilities for participants.
No team registration fee costs above €;495. This means for an average team of 12-13 players each team member is effectively only paying around €;4.5 per week for a season at a venue where the fee is this price.
Value is also important particularly given these current economic climes being experienced by all.
Registration of teams is performed online only (see www.irfutag.ie) and this will be possible from January 9th. Bear in mind, some venues fill up even by mid-February so there is no time like the present for getting your team together.
Teams registering over the course of the coming weeks can also qualify for the IRFU Tag Rugby 2012 Competition Draw.
Players or teams can win VIP tickets to see Ireland play at the Aviva Stadium and exclusively invitations to post-match receptions too.
Details of draw and how to enter will be revealed here along with the list of this year’s Volkswagen Tag venues when registrations go live.
