Munster’s powerhouse flanker David Wallace has been named in a 27-man squad for the province’s refixed RaboDirect PRO12 clash with Aironi Rugby on Sunday.
It is the first time David Wallace has featured in a Munster squad this season having sustained a knee injury in Ireland’s Rugby World Cup warm-up game against England last August.
Also included for the trip to Italy this week are Simon Zebo and Denis Hurley, who both spent last week with the Ireland Six Nations squad in Carton House.
Hurley was released last Friday morning to play a part in Munster’s latest league win over the Newport Gwent Dragons on Saturday.
However, Zebo and Hurley are not required by the national set-up this week and will travel with the Munster squad to Parma from Dublin Airport on Friday morning.
The one notable absentee from the squad is Dave Foley who dislocated a shoulder in Newport. He will see a specialist on Monday to determine the exact extent of the injury.
