Shout for Ireland with Volkswagen Beach Tag

Teams registering to play in either or both of the remaining two IRFU Volkswagen Beach Tag events can win EXCLUSIVE prizes in this year’s competition draw.

To enter the competition draw, simply enter team contact details of 10 or more teammates and complete the signing -up process. Prize includes category 1 match tickets to an Ireland Guinness Series test vs South Africa or Argentina at the Aviva Stadium this November plus invitations to the official IRFU post-match team reception.

Beach Tag is exactly as it sounds. Tag Rugby played on a beach. The entire competition takes place in one dayand runs from around midday until later in the afternoon, depending on the tides.

A Beach Tag team comprises of five players instead of seven as in normal Tag Rugby (minimum of two female players playing). Typically a team will play 4-5 games (10-15 min each) in a day before playoffs. On sand, this is quite the task! Rest of the laws of tag apply the same as with the regular form of the game.
