A huge crowd of over 3,000 supporters of all ages descended on the seaside Wicklow town of Greystones on Friday afternoon to watch the Leinster squad being put through their paces at Dr. Hickey Park ahead of the 2012/13 season.
The visit to Greystones RFC marked the 75th anniversary of the club and the huge gathering, which included 140 players from the Volkswagen Leinster Rugby Summer Camp, were treated to a session which included skills, strength, fitness and conditioning drills and exercises.
Afterwards the Leinster squad posed for photographs and signed autographs around the sun-kissed ground.
This is the latest in a series of recent pre-season provincial visits which has seen the Leinster squad train and meet supporters in the likes of Boyne, Clondalkin, Edenderry, Kilkenny, Malahide, Mullingar, Portarlington, Portlaoise, Tallaght, Tullamore, Wexford Wanderers and Wicklow in recent seasons.
Sincere thanks to all those who came along to support the players and coaches.
The Leinster squad will travel next to County Carlow FC on Friday, August 3 at 12pm. The squad will conduct a full training session in preparation for the season before signing autographs and meeting supporters afterwards.
It is anticipated that the session will last approximately one hour. Admission is free and all are welcome.
Leinster face Gloucester in the Bank of Ireland pre-season friendly on Saturday, August 11 at Tallaght Stadium.
