Ireland international Johnny Sexton is looking forward to getting back into action with Leinster in the coming weeks before building up to the Guinness Series in November. We spoke to him at a recent IRFU Volkswagen Tag skills session about the season ahead.
Fresh from a tough session with Leinster Jonathan Sexton and teammates Eoin Reddan, Kevin McLaughlin and Fergus McFadden decided to put their charges through their paces as part of an IRFU Volkswagen Tag skills training session.
Sexton is still in the pre-season phase and hopes to be back in blue for round 3 or 4 of the RaboDirect Pro12 and the young star feels there is unfinished business for Leinster and even more so for Ireland.
Winning a historic third Heineken Cup last season was tempered by the loss to the Ospreys a week later in the final of the Pro12 followed by what he called a disappointing end to the season with Ireland in New Zealand.
Sexton is now looking forward to renenergising Ireland fans with some big performances in the Guinness Series in November against South Africa and Argentina who are currently in action in the Rugby Championship.
