Ulster can call on two more international players for the visit of Munster to Ravenhill this Friday night after Chris Henry and Dan Tuohy were included in Mark Anscombe’s 26-man squad.
Ireland forwards Chris Henry and Dan Tuohy were rested in the opening two rounds of the RaboDirect PRO12 due to the IRFU player management programme, but are now available for this crunch interprovincial tie (kick-off 7.05pm).
Stephen Ferris, who returned to action as a replacement in last Saturday’s 16-13 win over the Ospreys, is set to win his 100th cap for the province.
Robbie Diack has failed to overcome a leg injury picked up in the round 1 victory over Glasgow Warriors two weeks ago and therefore misses out.
The province’s current list of absentees includes Rory Best, Paddy McAllister, Tommy Bowe, Roger Wilson, Paddy Wallace and Ruan Pienaar.
Ulster have made the perfect start to the RaboDirect PRO12 campaign with back-to-back triumphs but Munster have, for the third season running, also started with successive victories, so something must give on Friday night.
Ulster have won just one of their last four fixtures with the Munstermen in the league, but did knock their rivals out of the Heineken Cup at the quarter-final stage in April. Munster’s only victory at Ravenhill since 2007 was a 16-6 success back in October 2010.
