Walsh Selects Munster Women’s Squad

The Munster Women’s squad, sponsored by Keanes Jewellers, has been named ahead of the forthcoming IRFU Women’s Interprovincial Championship.

Head coach Gary Walsh is overseeing  a squad numbering 28 players, 14 of whom hail from recently-crowned All-Ireland League Division 1 champions UL Bohemians.

In addition, there are eight players from Highfield, with Young Munster, Tralee, Nenagh, and Abbeyfeale also represented.

The Munster girls will face Ulster in Queen’s University in the opening round of the IRFU Women’s Interprovincial Championship. That match will kick off at 1pm on Sunday, December 2.

They will follow up in round 2 with a home date with Connacht at Musgrave Park on Saturday, December 8 (kick-off 2.30pm), before finishing up with a trip to Ashbourne to take on defending champions Leinster on Saturday, December 15 (kick-off 1.30pm).
