Leinster Add Bent And Goodman To European Panel

Recent Ireland cap Michael Bent and Andrew Goodman have been nominated by reigning European champions Leinster, in advance of their key back-to-back encounters with Clermont Auvergne.

In the absence of the injured Aaron Jarvis, the Ospreys have added the former Biarritz Olympique and New Zealand prop Campbell Johnstone, while Glasgow Warriors will have the Scottish-qualified former Crusaders winger Sean Maitland in their ranks.

Back rower James Coughlan has been included by two-time Heineken Cup champions Munster, with provincial rivals Connacht adding young lock Daniel Qualter to their European squad.

Ex-New Zealand winger Rudi Wulf also returns for a second European stint with current Top 14 leaders Toulon. Wulf played five Heineken Cup games for the French heavyweights during the 2010/11 season.

The players they are replacing in the squads – maximum 38 players at any time – are deregistered.

The deregistered players may return to the squad at a later date during the pool stages and replace the additional player.

Teams must ensure that the additional player has not been nominated in a match squad with another side for the Heineken Cup or Amlin Challenge Cup tournaments during the current season.

The additional player will be eligible to play in the next round of pool matches if his nomination is received by ERC by noon on the Tuesday before the match. The player must have at least a three-month contract with the team.
