UCD will begin their defence of the Fraser McMullen Cup against Cork opposition on Saturday week, following confirmation of the draw for the opening matches in this season’s All-Ireland Under-21 Cup competition.

Garryowen or UL Bohemians will emerge as Lansdowne’s opponents for the Under-21 competition’s opening round which will take place on Saturday, March 23.
The four Leinster-Munster affairs are completed by the Cork Constitution v Dublin University clash and Old Belvedere’s trip to Young Munster.
The matches will kick off at 2.30pm and extra-time of 10 minutes each way will be played if necessary.
The semi-finals will be held on Saturday, March 30 with the final scheduled for the weekend of April 6-7, with its venue to be confirmed.
The UCD Under-21s have won the last two Fraser McMcMullen Cup deciders, edging out Lansdowne 28-27 in April 2011 and claiming a 17-11 win over Old Belvedere last year.
