Round 2 of the Women’s All-Ireland League saw some big wins with UL Bohs, ‘Rock and Belvo all racking up the points.
UL Bohs occupy their traditional tpop of the table slot after notching up their 2nd win and 2nd bonus point with a 22-0 win over Tralee last weekend.
They are trailed by Blackrock and Old Belvedere who both recorded big wins on Sunday.
‘Rock won in Portlaoise by 49 – 3 while the Belvo girls put 45 points on Galwegians in a surprisingly one sided affair.
Highfield picked up their first win with victory at home over St. Mary’s by 27-7. There were strong performances from Highfield’s Nicola Scully and Helen Brosnan who combined well to run the game for the home side.
This weekend sees a table top clash between UL Bohs and Blackrock while Belvo could capitalise on the resault when they travel to Portlaoise.
Mary’s host ‘Wegians in a back to back return fixture which could prove interesting while Tralee are at home to Highfield.
