ULSTER BANK LEAGUE: DIVISION 2B: Saturday, October 26

Kick-off 2.30pm unless stated –

Navan (8^th) v Skerries (2^nd), Balreask Old, Friday Night Lights, 20.00

A cracking game under lights in Navan this Friday night as Skerries make the trip with two wins under their belt already.

Skerries put over 40 points Instonians on the opening day of the season and the Ulster side responded by beating Navan a week later.

Navan at home will be a different prospect for the North County Dublin side though and it promises to be a tough encounter.

Ards (9^th) v DLSP (15^th), Hamilton Park

A one point win on the first day followed by a big loss away to Midleton sees Ards in 9^th place going into this game.

Visitors DLSP come in search of their first win in this division. They picked up a losing bonus point against Armagh which is probably a better reflection than the hefty defeat by Nenagh Ormond.

Ards had a nervy end to last season and should use home advantage as best as possible to avoid those struggles again.

Armagh (4^th) v Tullamore (3^rd), Palace Grounds

A cracking game in prospect at the Palace Grounds on Saturday afternoon as two former Junior clubs go toe to toe.

Tullamore’s try bonus is all that separates the sides as both have won their opening two games.

This is the kind of clash that has made the Ulster Bank Junior Cup so popular in recent seasons and while that cup kicks off this weekend these two alumni will be aiming to further their ambitions in the league.

Boyne (5^th) v Instonians (11^th), Shamrock Lodge

Boyne are buoyed by their wins over Richmond and Sligo as they come in to this match at the weekend.

Inst. make the trip the South having edged out Boyne’s local rivals Navan in the last round of games.

All told it should be an interesting game and a good early season measure for both clubs.

Greystones (6^th) v Sligo (12^th), Dr. Hickey Park

‘Stones recovered from their opening day loss by travelling to Richmond to pick up a win. Over the two games they have picked up two try bonuses and a losing bonus.

Sligo are yet to win but they have notched up two losing bonuses against Navan and Boyne.

On the evidence of the opening two games you’d have to fancy Greystones in front of their home crowd.

Midleton (10^th) v Suttonians (13^th), Towns Park

Midleton had a big win over Ards at the start of the month to push them up to 10^th following their opening round loss against Nenagh Ormond.

Suttonians make the trip to Cork still looking for a win and with a losing bonus point against Ards as their only points.

Another home win on the cards and a potential struggle ahead for the Dublin side.

Nenagh Ormond (1^st) v Sunday’s Well (16^th), New Ormond Park

Top against bottom in New Ormond Park on Saturday afternoon and the likelihood is the sides will be in the same position come the final whistle.

Nenagh Ormond have made a strong start to the league campaign with two try bonus wins in their opening two games.

The Well have lost to Thomond and Armagh and look set to leave Tipperary with little in the way of consolation.

Thomond (7^th) v Richmond (14^th), Liam Fitzgerald Park

A limerick derby is never one for the faint hearted and this clash should prove no different.

The hosts have started brightly with an opening day win and a try bonus followed by a losing bonus away to Tullamore.

Their city rivals have lost both games since promotion but a derby match is something different and form can go out the window.
