The Munster squad assembled in Limerick today in preparation for their RaboDirect PRO12 top of table encounter with the Ospreys at Thomond Park on Saturday (kick-off 7.15pm).

Munster’s international players were not in Limerick today as they are with Ireland squad training in Carton House for the week in the build-up to the GUINNESS Series which commences on Saturday, November 9 against Samoa.

South African winger Gerhard van den Heever is expected to arrive later next week during the Munster squad’s down week and will undergo his medical examination before joining up with the his new colleagues on their return to training in the week beginning November 11.

Conor Murray, who was cited after last Friday’s game against Glasgow Warriors, will travel to Cardiff tomorrow for his hearing with the Independent RaboDirect PRO12 Disciplinary Committee at 1pm.

Felix Jones (ankle) returns to modified training this week, while Niall Ronan (ankle) continues with his rehabilitation.

Luke O’Dea, who scored a try for Shannon against Dungannon last Saturday, came off with a slight hamstring injury and is being monitored this week.

Next up for Munster is the challenge of the Ospreys at Thomond Park on Saturday. The Welsh side are unbeaten against Munster in the last five outings, and the most recent clash saw the sides draw at the Limerick venue in March.
