Craig Gilroy and Simon Zebo have been added to the extended Ireland squad as the coaching team await the outcome of a scan on Keith Earls.
Keith Earls was injured during Munster’s final Heineken Cup pool game against Edinburgh and is undergoing a scan today to determine the extent of the injury.
A further update was issued by Munster, with a statement confirming: “Keith Earls underwent a scan on his left knee and it confirmed that the winger sustained some knee ligament damage. He will meet with a specialist to identify the full prognosis of the injury.”
In the meantime, Craig Gilroy and Simon Zebo have been added to the training squad and joined up with the main contingent today.
A number of players reported to the Ireland training camp with bumps and bruises following the weekend. Their training workload will be managed over the coming days, but none are considered injury concerns.
