‘No New Injury Concerns’ For Connacht

Connacht are gearing up to welcome provincial rivals and Heineken Cup semi-finalists Munster to the Sportsground for the 6.15pm kick-off on Easter Saturday.

Despite the disappointing defeat to Ulster at Ravenhill last weekend, the Connacht squad were refocused when they reported for duty at a sun-drenched Sportsground yesterday and there were no new injury concerns for the management team.

Prop Rodney Ah You, who left the pitch temporarily with a bloody eye last Friday night, has recovered fully ahead of the upcoming derby game.

Fionn Carr took a knock to the knee but the winger is expected to be available for the westerners’ crunch clash with Munster.

Willie Faloon, who was in line to return against his native Ulster but was unfortunate to pick up a slight hamstring strain in the last training run, has recovered to bring himself back in to the frame for Saturday.

Backs Matt Healy and Craig Ronaldson were also welcomed back to squad training this week.

Meanwhile, Nathan White (calf strain) is making good progress but it is unlikely that the tighthead prop will return in time for the visit of Rob Penney’s side to Galway.

Tickets for the Connacht v Munster round 20 tie are selling fast. While the upper Enclosed Area and famous Clan Stand Terrace are now sold out, there are still a limited number of tickets remaining for the Main Stand Terrace.

There will also be tickets available for both ends of the pitch behind the posts.

Ticket prices start at €;25 for adults and it is just €;5 for all juniors (17 years and younger).

Tickets are available online from tickets.ie, from the Connacht Rugby office and from Centra and SuperValu stores province-wide.
