Stevenson Sharks Seek New Players And Volunteers

The Stevenson Sharks, the Dungannon-based Tag rugby team for people with a learning disability/special needs, are on the lookout for new players (aged 6-18) and new volunteers (aged 16-plus).

Players should have a learning disability or additional support needs but they do not need to have an official diagnosis, everyone is welcome.

The team season runs until the end of June and costs just £2 per week. The Sharks met at Stevenson Park, Dungannon RFC on Fridays (7pm-8pm).

Volunteers do not need previous rugby experience as you can learn as you are going along and coaching courses can be offered throughout the year.

If you are interested in getting involved, pull on a pair of trainers (or rugby boots if you have them!) and come on down to say hello and find out more. Despite their fearsome name, the Sharks are a friendly bunch!

For more information contact: mail@dungannonrugby.com, or check out the Stevenson Sharks Facebook page.

* Tag rugby is a non-contact form of rugby suitable for males and females of all age groups and abilities. There are no scrums, lineouts or tackling allowed in Tag rugby and the game can be played and enjoyed by both beginners and experienced players alike.
