Ulster Launch New Home And Away Kits
The new Ulster Rugby kit for the 2014/15 season has been officially unveiled at a launch event at Kingspan Stadium.
The new home and away jerseys combine eye-catching design with the latest in sports technology.
Designed by the Kukri team in Lisburn, Ulster’s 2014/15 home jersey is made from Taloc fabric, which is lightweight but durable. The jersey incorporates Ulster Rugby’s traditional colours of white, red and black on the body and sleeves.
The design itself is sublimated, which means it is printed onto the fabric as it is made to keep it lightweight. The Ulster Rugby and Kukri logos are embroidered.
A colourful alternative to the home jersey, the purple away jersey incorporates Ulster red across the chest and collar.
It is Kukri’s elite rugby jersey, which is made from brand-new 4D Tech fabric with 4-way stretch, and a new, super-strong collar called ‘the bridge’.
The hoop design is sublimated to keep it lightweight and abrasion free, as the design is printed onto the fabric as it’s made.
The new away jersey will be worn for the first time when the province play Exeter Chiefs in a pre-season match at Kingspan Stadium on Friday, August 22.
The new kit also revealed the addition of the BT Sport logo to the player’s jersey for the first time, as the province’s official communications partner aligns its sponsorship of Ulster Rugby with BT Sport’s growing focus on European rugby.
The new Ulster Rugby kit for the 2014/15 season starts at £45 for children and £55 for adults and is on sale in store and online at www.ulsterrugbyshop.com.
