Te’o To Start For Leinster ‘A’ In B&I Cup Semi-Final

Head coach Girvan Dempsey has named the Leinster ‘A’ team to face Worcester Warriors in the British & Irish Cup semi-final at Sixways Stadium on Friday (kick-off 7.45pm).

Luke McGrath will captain the side from scrum half with Cathal Marsh, who starred in last year’s final win, completing the half-back pairing.

Ben Te’o will start his second game for the ‘A’ team alongside Noel Reid in the centre. Te’o’s first appearance for Leinster was in a British & Irish Cup pool match away to Carmarthen Quins last October.

Mick McGrath and Sam Coghlan Murray have been selected to start on the wings with the in-form Cian Kelleher completing the back-three. Kelleher is currently the joint top try scorer in the competition with seven tries as many appearances.

Peter Dooley, hooker Aaron Dundon and Royce Burke Flynn all start in the front row, and the second row berths are filled by Tom Denton and recent senior debutant Ross Molony. Peadar Timmins will start at the base of the scrum, flanked by Ben Marshall and Dan Leavy.
