Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour Hits Ireland Next Week

The Rugby World Cup trophy will take part in a tour of the island of Ireland in the coming days, taking in Belfast, Derry, Donegal, Galway, Limerick and Dublin between Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 24.

The Webb Ellis trophy will visit the Giant’s Causeway, Derry Guildhall, Belfast City Hall and Kingspan Stadium while in the north and also put in club appearances with Donegal RFC, Belfast Harlequins RFC and Banbridge RFC – Ireland hooker Rory Best’s home club.

While in the west, the trophy will visit Galway city and Galwegians RFC before appearing at the Father’s Day Rugby Festival at Thomond Park in Limerick.
