#TrainWithUs – Your Chance To Train With Ireland Women’s Internationals

The IRFU have announced an added incentive to all those teams who sign up to the Under-18 competition in this year’s inaugural AON Women’s Club Sevens in St. Mary’s College RFC on Saturday, August 8.

As well having the opportunity to take part in the first Under-18 IRFU-run event, all clubs will be entered into a draw to win a place in the IRFU initiative, #TrainWithUs. With numbers limited, only eight lucky clubs will be picked out of a hat to take part.

#TrainWithUs winners will be invited to attend the Women’s World Series Sevens Qualifier tournament at the UCD Bowl on Sunday, August 23. Each team will take part in a training session hosted by Ireland international players followed by a match at the UCD Bowl.

The IRFU initiative, #TrainWithUs, is being run in conjunction with the World Rugby Impact Beyond project and aims to expose players to the Women’s Sevens Dublin event which takes place in UCD on August 22 and 23.

The initiative will ensure spectators have lots to view during the breaks in play on Sunday, August 23. It also allows the Under-18 players a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet and train with the Ireland international players.

All participating players will receive an IRFU training T-shirt and lunch on the day, as well as talks by IRFU Nutritionist Nóra Ní Fhlannagáin and a meet and greet with the Ireland national Sevens team once the tournament closes.

The draw will take place in St Mary’s College RFC on Saturday, August 8 where all eight winners will be announced. The IRFU will cover the cost of bus transport for any team who is picked out and who takes part in the #TrainWithUs project in UCD on Sunday, August 23.
