Connacht Reveal New BLK Away Kit

Connacht Rugby, in partnership with BLK, have today revealed the province’s new away kit for the 2015/16 season.

Connacht captain John Muldoon and his team-mates Tiernan O’Halloran and Jack Carty were at the Sportsground to launch the new range ahead of their pre-season opener with Grenoble tomorrow.

BLK, in its third year as Connacht Rugby’s official kit supplier, worked closely with Connacht management on the new design that sees the predominant colour of white remain while a splash of Connacht green has been introduced on to the shoulders and sleeves.

The names of the five counties of Connacht are represented on the body of the jersey with the Eagle from the club crest also embedded on the front. Navy shorts and socks complete the kit that will be worn for the first time at Connacht’s pre-season game against Munster on Friday, August 21.

Commenting on the new-look kit, Bruce Wood, Brand Manager at BLK Ireland, said: “We’re extremely proud to build on our relationship with Connacht Rugby in developing another strong Connacht range.

“Our new four-way stretch fabric will certainly give the Connacht team the on-field edge and will add to the already broad range of BLK training kit and supporters’ wear available in stores.”

Alex Saul, Head of Commercial & Marketing at Connacht Rugby, added: “We’re really pleased with how the away kit looks this year. The white was really popular with our supporters last season so that was the starting point in creating a new jersey.

“Working with BLK, the design team have introduced some nice, new elements, particularly calling out the five counties of Connacht as well as incorporating more of the Connacht green throughout the jersey. We hope our supporters love the new design and associated range.”

The new away jersey is available in Life Style Sports stores and online from www.lifestylesports.com/connacht from today (August 6). As Connacht Rugby’s official retail partner, Life Style Sports offer Season Ticket holders a 10% discount on all products in store.

While the green home kit will be continued from last season, a new European kit will be revealed in October ahead of the start of the European Challenge Cup.
