Wanderers, Bruff and Old Crescent have set the early pace in Ulster Bank League Division 2C with two wins apiece. All three are on the road this weekend. Will they still be top dogs come Saturday evening?

Boyne (7th) v Sligo (10th), Shamrock Lodge
A rip roaring start to the campaign by Boyne was halted last weekend when they lost to Wanderers on the Aviva Stadium’s main pitch. Although they have impressed at scrum time, their many concern is defence having conceded 60 points in two games.
Their opponents on Saturday, Sligo, are badly in need of a fillip having conceded 99 points in their two matches to date.
Dundalk (9th) v Tullamore (8th), Mill Road
This could be a Towns Cup match as these two former junior clubs go toe to toe. Neither side has won a game yet but the visitors have picked up two losing bonus points for their efforts.
Dundalk are learning what it takes to survive in the league, and they will be determined to bounce back from last week’s 43-0 hammering by Midleton.
Kanturk (5th) v Old Crescent (3rd), Knocknacolan
A tough one to call. Kanturk look like early season contenders after two matches. A narrow loss to table toppers Wanderers was followed by a big win over Sligo, with Sean Cremin and Ronan O’Brien scoring two tries each last week.
Visitors Old Crescent have picked up two wins in the opening two rounds for an excellent start to the season. Number 8 Brendan Guilfoyle has stood out, showing some early impressive early season form.
Midleton (4th) v Wanderers (1st), Towns Park
Midleton have looked lively in their opening two fixtures, running up 72 points, and will be a tough team to beat at home.
Their visitors are leaders Wanderers who have a perfect ten points from the first two rounds. Olan Dennehy and Paddy Mallon have scored a brace of tries each so far. An away win is possible but will there be another try-scoring bonus point picked up?
Navan (6th) v Bruff (2nd), Balreask Old
Navan opened the season with a big victory over Sligo and then went down by ten points to Old Crescent. Saturday brings a Bruff side that have won their opening two encounters and claimed a try-scoring bonus point.
Bruff should be strong enough to take the win on the road, especially if goal-kicking scrum half Tony Cahill continues his sharpshooting form and full-back Brendan Deady adds to the three tries he has scored over the past fortnight.
